June 26, 2022 Maintenance experience event was held.
A monitoring event, “Maintenance Experience Event,” was held at the course where the Ibaraki North Long Trail is scheduled to open.
Fourteen of the 22 participants were first-timers, including third- and sixth-graders with their mothers.
The maintenance was to develop a new route connecting Mt. High Suzu and Mt. Kunimi. The path, which had been deeply overgrown with grass and trees and littered with fallen trees and rocks, was beautifully revived to look so clean and splendid that it was hard to believe it was the same place.
Thank you to everyone who participated!

Rubus hirsutus were ripening along the road. This year, too, the mountains and villages in the northern part of the prefecture are facing a hot summer. | Another new path has been opened up. Thank you to all the participants! |
