HISTORICAL-NE02：Living on the North Side
Mt.Eizoumuro and Mt. Hanazono is located in the northern part of Ibaraki Prefecture, on the border with the northeastern part of Japan. Hanazono Shrine at the foot of the mountain has an ancient origin, and while it enshrines the guardian deity of the mountain, it has also been a shrine for warriors and military commanders who have been associated with the northern part of the country. The mountain and its people have protected the peace and tranquility of the northern side of the mountain.
