ACCESS-NE03：On the beach road
At the end of the NE section, the course largely exits to the Pacific Ocean side, allowing visitors to experience the charms of the sea as well as the mountains. The road along the sea, once called “Hama-kaido” and utilized as a highway since the Fudoki period, is partially preserved as ruins in Kitaibaraki, and the richness of the road route that flourished from a far-off era can be seen today.
